Nice Simple Photo Widget Released

The progress for my new project has not been as good as I expected. Well, I blame my PC for being down for a few days last week. :)

I am not quite happy with that, so for the last "10%" of work (which is often the hardest) I worked overnight and got this finished. Here I release Nice Simple Photo Widget as the latest addition to our Nice Simple Widgets family.

Let's look at the screenshots:

Although there are not many components in this widget - just the photo frame and the photo itself, I still give you a decent amount of customization power as usual. You can customize the color, size, and opacity of the photo frame. Currently there are 3 frame sizes, but for the color and opacity settings, you can change them to whatever values you like.

For the photo settings, I couldn't find in the Android market an existing widget that supports the semi-transparent setting. So my widget might be the first one if I didn't overlook - well, at least it is not a common feature. :) Wonder what it is? Just look at the adorable dog in the second screenshot. Basically this feature allows you to have a semi-transparent photo that bends with your desktop wallpaper. The level of transparency is also adjustable.

I hope some of you would like the new widget. If you already donated through my Nice Simple Widgets (Donation) app, you will also be able to enjoy the ad-free version of this new photo widget app. Thanks again for your support!

The following is the major feature list.
Nice Simple Photo Widget:

- Minimalistic style
- Semi-transparent photo display on home screen (supports Android 2.2 or higher)
- Colorful and customizable photo frame
- Slideshow of all photos in a directory (customizable photo update interval: every minute, every hour, every day, etc.)
- Four different widget sizes: 2x2, 2x4, 4x2, 4x4

StyleNote 1.5.0

In 1.5.0, I basically rewrote parts of the note editor to improve some of the editing "behaviors". The apparent changes may be subtle and are actually hard to explain in words. Consider this as a technical update. :)

A more apparent addition would be the new option which allows users to choose whether to insert new notes at the start or the end of the list. You can find that option in the Setup/info screen. I hope you would find it useful.

On another note, I am now working on the third project for the Nice Simple Widget family - a nice simple photo widget. Hopefully I can release the first version of it this week or the next.

OK. Here is full changelog of StyleNote 1.5.0. Enjoy. :D
Version 1.5.0:

- Rewrote the note editor for improved editing
- New feature: Option to choose whether to insert new notes at the start or the end of the list
- Fixed a potential error
- Attempted to fix an issue related to note-saving
